Low Cost Etching Tank System with Agitator & Heater

This handy etching tank system will handle P.C. boards up to 8" x 9" and also will handle 2 boards at one time. The tank holds 1.35 gallons of etching solution. The system comes with an air pump to agitate the etchant, a heater to keep the etchant at the optimum temperature and a convenient board holder to suspend the P.C.B. in the etching solution. Also, this system includes a tight fitting top so the user can close the plastic tank & prevent evaporation of the etching solution while the system is not in use. This system provides a low cost method of speeding up etching time for P.C.B. fabricators. Special care should be taken when using etching chemicals (ferric chloride). Especially, take precautions to use protective eyewear & also protective gloves should be used. Ingestion of ferric chloride can be fatal. Also, it is highly corrosive to metal.
