Conventional PC-based Data Acquisition
Cards use multiplexers to switch the input signal before the signal gets into
the Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) to reduce the high cost of ADC chip and to
fit the slow signal characteristic. While the ADC chip is becoming more and more
affordable and the time delay between channel-to-channel switching cannot be
neglected, more and more applications in the modern data acquisition market
request the simultaneous sampling feature.
ADLINK is proud to announce
the release of the DAQ-2010, a 4CH simultaneous 2MHz A/D and 2 CH 1MHz D/A
multifunction card. The DAQ-2010 is the first member of the DAQ-2000 series and
it applies the carrier and daughter modular design concept, which separates the
analog circuitry and digital circuitry into two cards, and thus greatly reduces
the signal noise generated by digital parts and increases the Effective Numbers
of Bits (ENOB) in the measurement.
Furthermore, the carrier/daughter
design makes it extremely easy for the DAQ-2000 series to upgrade the system
from the PCI form factor to CompactPCI/PXI simply by changing the PCI carrier to
a CompactPCI carrier. Moreover, there is no need to modify even a single line of
the software since the DAQ-2000 series offers 100% software compatibility. The
versatile trigger function of the DAQ-2010 allows user to start or stop the data
acquisition in order to get valid data from the fast-changing, transient
signals. Therefore, the DAQ-2010 can acquire high bandwidth and high frequency
transient signals from the ultrasonic, radar, or sonar system.
On the
other hand, to calibrate the DAQ-2010 is far easier than what users can possibly
imagine. Through a simple software command, the DAQ-2010 can automatically
adjust the offset and gain error to achieve the most precise accuracy. In
addition to the high-speed analog input feature, the DAQ-2010 also comes with
two 1MHz 12-bit analog output channels. The dedicated timing control logic
allows the DAQ-2010 to perform waveform generator at the same time with
simultaneously analog sampling. All the advanced features make DAQ-2010 an ideal
device for high-speed signal measurement and high-performance system
testing.
