**Half-channel mode: CH1 and CH2 are considered as a group; CH3 and CH4 are considered as another group. Each group share the same ADC sample, and either one of the channels in each group is enabled.
The powerful instrument uses Rigol’s innovative UltraVision II technology and Phoenix chipset, which provides high memory depth and sample rate, real-time waveform recording and playback functions, and an exceptional waveform capture rate of 500,000 wfms/s with minimal degradation and “dead-time” between trigger events.
Speaking of trigger events: the base unit provides a powerful array of trigger functions, including a touchscreen-based zone trigger function, which can help users accelerate the signal isolation process. The Serial Decoding Protocol option (purchased separately) adds even more functionality, allowing the unit to decode 4 serial buses simultaneously, with options for decodings such as RS232/UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, I2S, FlexRay, and MILSTD-1553.
MSO5204 features a 9-inch WVGA (1024x600) capacitive multi-touch screen with 256-level intensity grading display and a newly added color persistence function that can highlight the signal of different probabilities with a different color grading. With a 9 inch touchscreen, full set of knobs and buttons, and mouse support, the MSO5204 makes it easy to analyze signals in whichever way works best in your lab. The included interactive browser control allows interactive control from a phone or tablet, and the PC software provides remote operation and control. The programming interface makes it possible to automate complex test sequences.
