Circuit Specialists offers a variety of quality on/(on) standard and miniature micro switches at affordable prices. Our standard micro switches have current ratings of ten amps at one hundred twenty-five or two hundred fifty volts of direct current and UL approval; and our miniature micro switches are rated at five amps at one hundred twenty-five or two hundred fifty volts of alternating current and are CE approved. All of our micro switches feature NO/NC 3P circuitry. Save even more money when you buy in bulk.
A microswitch, also called a limit switch or snap action switch, is a type of highly sensitive, small switch that is usually activated by mechanical means. It gets its snap-action name from the spring-loaded internal mechanism, which snaps between two positions when triggered. This switching mechanism is typically enclosed, with only a small button protruding from the casing.
Often a long thin metal arm or actuator protrudes over the switch, acting as additional leverage. A roller might be mounted at the end of this metal arm so the switch can be activated when it slides against a moving mechanical component.
These switches are usually SPDT and function in ON-(ON) mode and sometimes OFF-(ON) or (rarely) ON-(OFF).
