DIY Retro Game Console Electronic Soldering Project Kit
Flex your soldering skills with the DIY Retro Game Console electronics project kit. By the end of the soldering project, you’ll have a better understanding of electronics and get to enjoy playing 4 different retro games on their brand-new, hand-built game console!
- DIY retro game console kit with soldering assembly instructions (downloadable)
- 4retro games:
- Space Invaders
- Race Cars
- Classic background music or buzzer, depending on the game
- 16x9 LED dot matrix (game display)
- 3-bit mini digital tube display (score display)
- Stores high scores
- 5V power with mini USB cable and AAA battery box
- 7 buttons: up, down, left, right, power on/off, return, fire, and music on/off
How It Works
The soldering project kit arrives disassembled into about 50 separate pieces, including the individual buttons, components, screws, and PCB. You’ll have everything you need to get started on the DIY game console, minus the soldering iron and solder.
Our user manual, which you can conveniently download online, will guide you through each step of the process, including the soldering order, component location, and positioning notes.
By the end of the project, you’ll have a finished retro game console featuring a 16x9 LED dot matrix (which will display the game), a digital display for scoring (which stores high scores!), and several buttons for operating the game, including an up, down, left, right, return, and fire button. Play retro game music in the background and quickly power on/off using the red button.
