Dual Material Upgrade For the Cel Robox RBX-01 3D Printer (free installation included!)

This kit includes all the parts you need to turn your Robox RBX01 into a dual material, dual feed system.

Installation service is included with your purchase, of the RBX01 dual head upgrade. If your printer is not functional or requires upgrading that is not covered under warranty, an estimate of the repair and/or upgrade cost will be provided for your approval prior to installation of the upgrade to your Robox RBX01 3D printer. Our policy is to send a return label for your printer and then ship it back to you at no charge once the Dual Material Head and 2nd Extruder have been installed on your RBX01.

The Robox dual material head upgrade consists of 2 independently controlled heated nozzles each equipped with Robox's unique needle valve control system. Also included is a 2nd extruder which is easily installed in your Robox and a second reel holder which will feed the 2nd extrusion material that can be used to print a second color, add a support material or construct a part out of two different materials like adding machinable parts in a non machinable frame.

Remember, you will need an existing RBX01 Robox 3D printer to use this kit. This is an optional upgrade to the Robox unit, the printer itself not included and is sold separately. Some assembly is required, as illustrated in the following videos:

Here is our first attempt to use the Robox 3D printer's dual material head.

This is our second attempt to use the dual material, dual extruder, which went slightly better.

The following videos show the installation of the dual material head into the Robox RBX-01 3D printer.

In the second part of the installation the X-carriage is modified for the dual feeds.

Next, the modified X-carriage is reinstalled back into the RBX01.

Once the X-carriage is reinstalled, the cable chain needs to be re-fitted.

After reinstalling the cable chain, the dual extruders are mounted.

Finally the reel holder is installed into the side panel of the RBX01.
